Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical data on the implementation of principal academic supervision in improving teacher performance in MTSN 1 and MTSN 3 Aceh Barat Daya. The research approach used in this research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques used in this study were to use interview guidelines, observation and documentation. The results showed that: Academic supervision of the principal at MTsN 1 Aceh Barat Daya and MTsN 3 Aceh Barat Daya took place in accordance with the implementation plan, the material being coached, the results of the implementation and the feedback from the implementation of academic supervision so that the performance of class teachers could increase.
